The annual China Business Travel Survey (The Barometer) released by American Express last week, indicates that despite the global financial crisis, China's business travel market has shown some growth. The company based its findings on a survey of 180 client organizations based in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.

Lufthansa recently celebrated the anniversary of its first scheduled flights from Germany to India and Thailand in November 1959 by announcing it had consolidated its position as the largest European airline group in Asia Pacific. Bangkok Airways has entered a codeshare agreement with Air Berlin, which operates nine weekly flights between Germany and Bangkok (BKK). Under the agreement, Bangkok Airways will connect Air Berlin’s passengers to Thailand’s key tourist destinations of Koh Samui (USM), Phuket (HKT) and Chiang Mai (CNX) under the same flight code.
